Wizard Banished - Masquerade waltz When I’m drowning in my tea, As I crawl across the land, And slip below like fragile, fleeting flies. When I’m sinking in the seaweed, Far beneath the ocean's waves, My breath is fading, and the light’s still far away. Now comes the dance, With a mask that wears my face, No one holds a saintly grace. Now comes the swarm, a masquerade ball, Tonight you'll be someone new, At least until the night is through. At the ball, they all dance, enchanted by the sound, And caught by drink, and shadows of the mind. The wizard conjured a myriad of stars, And all bow low before the dazzling light. Life is so beautiful when it’s all a lie, In the corner of your eye, a reflection of yourself. Now comes the dance, With a mask that wears my face, No one holds a saintly grace. Now comes the swarm, a masquerade ball, Tonight you'll be someone new, At least until the night is through. The banished wizard waltzes through the night, He’s a mage, a strategist, a warrior, and a seer, With grace he learned from lives long gone, Each day is different, yet the same, Beneath the moon, a caterpillar asks, "Why does this happen, and why am I not magical?" Now comes the dance, With a mask that wears my face, No one holds a saintly grace. Now comes the swarm, a masquerade ball, Tonight you'll be someone new, At least until the night is through.
